Auburn QB Nick Marshall’s best chance at success in the NFL may be at Defensive Back. Marshall initially showed up at the Senior Bowl prepared to play quarterback but then switched to defensive back. The move may prove to be the right choice and provide the best platform to showcase his athleticism and ability to play at the next level. Marshall may be rusty but he is familiar with the position as he started his collegiate career playing DB at Georgia.
During Senior Bowl practices, Marshall even faced off against his former teammate, Sammie Coates. During the 2013 & 2014 campaigns, Marshall hooked up with Coats for 9 touchdowns and now Marshall was trying to prevent Coates from scoring in practice.
We shall see how Nick Marshall performs when the Senior Bowl kicks off Saturday at 3pm (NFL Network) in Mobile, Alabama.
