BYU announced that they have added 4 transfers into their football program. Those players are Running Back Squally Canada (Washington State), Cornerback Kamel Greene (also Washington State), Tight End Jackson Kaka (New Mexico State) and a JUCO transfer in Safety Eric Takenaka.
Squally Canada will have to sit out the 2015 season, while the other 3 will be immediately eligible to play. Green still has 3 years of eligibility remaining.
The Cougars have also confirmed 7 who who are returning from missionary trips who will be eligible to play right away. This is great news for the Independent program many expect would receive an invitation from the Big 12 should they decide on expansion from 10 -12 members. The expansion would be to fulfill minimum number of football members needed for a Conference Championship game.
