Clowney Sighting?

There are reports of a Jadeveon Clowney sighting in the SEC. It’s clear that South Carolina DL Jadeveon Clowney is not the same player he was last year. He most likely will be a top 5 if not the #1 drafted player but he has not performed up to his potential. The hype of going #1 and the possibility of being injured has gotten the best of him.

In an article written by Bruce Feldman about “The Top 10 Scariest Players in College Football”, he lists Clowney as the 4th scariest player in the game. Here is what Bruce Feldman had to say about Jadeveon Clowney, 4. Jadeveon Clowney, South Carolina, DL: The 6-6, 278-pound junior is not putting up numbers like he did last season as he’s battled through some nagging injuries, but Clowney’s still be a major headache who must be accounted for in opponents’ game plans. Clowney still has 6.5 TFLs, a forced fumble and seven QB hurries and looks like he’s ready to crank up the heat the last month of the season.

Well he has a chance to live up to that 6’6″ frame and expectations by finishing the season the way most of us expected him to play all year. He needs to dominate and instill fear into that remaining schedule and give the Gamecocks a chance to represent the East Divisions in the SEC Championship game.
