In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Atlanta Wide Receiver Julio Jones spoke about his former school Alabama and which loss he felt was more devastating: the Iron Bowl loss to Auburn or the BCS Sugar Bowl loss to Oklahoma. Jones responded,
“No question (it was a tougher loss),” Jones said. “You see, the Sugar Bowl, when we’re there, it’s like championship or not. Sugar Bowl? Nobody cares about playing in the Sugar Bowl.”
According to Jones, Alabama really hasn’t cared about any post season bowl game unless it was the national championship.
