There were some incredible games this past week in college football with some nice performances. Here are your Week 3 Beast Mode Performers.
Gunner Kiel, Cincinnati: 25 of 37 for 418 yards, 6 TDs and 0 Ints vs Toledo. The Sophomore with a name to perhaps go with his style of play came out huge in the season opener. Kiel set an NCAA FBS record for touchdown passes in a career debut for a quarterback. He broke Florida’s John Reaves record of five touchdowns (against Houston) and also matched Tony Pike’s school record for touchdown passes in a game. and tied a Bearcat record with 6 TD’s in his debut.
Conner Halliday, Washington State: Halliday makes our list yet again and he certainly has a name that belongs in the Wild West as he threw for 544 yards on 41 of 62 for 6 TDs and 2 Ints vs Portland State.
Clint Trickett, West Virginia: 37 of 49 for 511 yards and 1 Int against Maryland.
Shaun Wilson, Duke: 12 carries for 245 yards, 3 TDs vs Kansas. Wilson was just a beast and could not be stopped carrying the rock for an incredible 20.4 yards per rush. Duke may be not be a 1 year wonder.
James Conner, Pittsburgh: 31 carries for 177 yards, 3 TDs at FIU. Conner is a man among boys and he must want to be a fixture on the NCAA Football Zone Beast Mode Weekly list. Go ahead young fella and I will keep a spot right here for you.
Alex Collins, Arkansas: 27 carries for 212 yards, 2 TDs as his Razorbacks traveled to Lubbock and ran all over Texas Tech. Bielema has Arkansas on the right track.
Isiah Myers, Washington State: 11 receptions for 227 yards, 3 TDs vs Portland State. Someone had to catch them so why not Myers. This has to be a dream for a young receiver.
Phillip Dorsett, Miami: 4 receptions for 201 yards, 2 TDs vs Arkansas State. That is not a typo people; the Senior did all of this on catching just 4 dimes.
QB Shane Carden, East Carolina: Carden completed 23 of 47 passes for 427 yards and threw for 3 TDs and added one more on the ground which proved to be the game winner.
QB Tyler Murphy, Boston College: 13 carries for 191 yards, 1 TDs as his Eagles defeated a top 10 USC team.
Amari Cooper, Alabama: 8 receptions for 135 yards, 1 TD vs Southern Mississippi. Copper is on the list for recording his 5th straight 100 yard game.
