The Purdue Boilermakers are hoping to get their fans more excited about the upcoming season by offering a unique opportunity for them to be a bigger part of the game. The school unveiled a new campaign allowing fans to ‘sign up for a VIP card’. This would allow for a picture of them via a mosaic to be featured on the team’s football helmets in the “P” in 2014.
Check out the Helmets! What do you think about this Marketing attempt? I say its genius and could lead to an increase in ticket and merchandise sales. Purdue is also hoping for a better showing on the football field this upcoming season.
I bet other programs will soon imitate the success of this VIP program.
