Michigan made sure history wasn’t repeated when Appalachian State visited the Big House this afternoon. The Wolverines routed the Mountaineers 52-14 and erased any chance of bringing back that nightmare from 7 years ago. This was a game that proved to be nothing more than a warm up for Michigan’s upcoming date with Notre Dame.
Appalachian State is competing this year at the FBS level as a member of the Sun Belt Conference and this afternoon may have exposed just how much more needs to be done for the Mountaineers to compete against the ‘Big Boys’.
Michigan had scored 42 unanswered points before Appalachian State scored their first of two TDs.
