Report: Connecticut will have a new rushing leader this season

Report: the University of Connecticut will have a new rushing leader this season.  The school announced today that running back Lyle McCombs will not be a part of the 2014 football team.  McCombs had led the Huskies in rushing in each of the last 3 seasons, totaling 2,681 yards and 18 touchdowns.  His 2013 campaign included 670 rushing yards and five touchdowns, while adding 20 catches for 75 yards and two touchdowns.

McCombs will remain in school through the summer to get his degree and will be available to play for a different program this upcoming season.
