Report: Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops to receive new contract

Report by Jeremy Fowler, CBSSports.com, Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops could possibly receive a new contract which will increase his annual salary to $5 million. ¬†Coach Stoop’s current contract calls for a minimum of $5 million annually beginning in 2016 but this new contract will allow for this increase earlier.

Oklahoma will put before its board of regents a re-worked contract for coach Bob Stoops that would bump his salary to $5 million annually, keeping pace with Charlie Strong at Texas and Kevin Sumlin at Texas A&M (both at $5 million). ¬†Keep in mind, no one is close to Nick Saban’s deal at Alabama ($6.9 million).
