Report: Ole Miss lose defensive back Chief Brown to injury

Multiple sources have reported that Ole Miss defensive back Chief Brown will miss the 2014 season after tearing his Achilles’ heel during an off-season workout.

Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze told the Clarion Ledger that Brown tore his Achilles, an injury that typically requires a six to eight-month rehab.

Brown had been named the most improved player after the Spring game and had expected to play more this year as a backup corner back and in special defensive packages.
