“Everybody asks me questions about him, but it doesn’t bother me. I know how good he was.”
Holyfield didn’t know much about coach Bobby Petrino, but knew that he once coached the Atlanta Falcons of the NFL. He further commented,
“Hearing about all the players he’s put in the NFL and his offense is really good, and the offense is going to be a powerhouse next year. Them moving to the ACC makes me really interested.”
Elijah was also interested in Kentucky because of their affiliation with the SEC and liked the fact they they were focused on recruiting and would embrace the idea of helping to build the Wildcat program,
“I’d love to go to a place that’s rebuilding,” he said. “I don’t necessarily have to go to a place where they’re already on top. That would be great to get to rebuild with a team and play early, like Ole Miss did this past year.”
Where do you suppose the son of a legend, the “real deal’ will play? It’s hard to say, but if the talented running back is as good as his father was during his boxing career, any team would truly love him.
