San Jose LB Jared Leaf is determined to play this season after he suffered 2nd degree burns back in April.
On Monday, Leaf addressed local media for the first time since the incident. Leaf provided an update on his current condition and described the experience as the “worst pain” of his life after having to run through a “wall of fire” to escape the third-floor apartment.
“There was only one way out and that was through the front door. And I just ran to the window, took a breath of fresh air, held it and ran out the door and ran through blackness and then red and orange, and then just light.”
This is admirable and I hope he not only comes to a full recovery but that he has an excellent season.
