Texas QB David Ash cleared to resume play and will battle for starting job

Texas QB David Ash who involved in a quarterback battle for Longhorns starting job received news in April that he was granted a Medical Redshirt.  It is being reported that the signal caller who had missed a majority of last season (10 games due to concussions) received news that he has been cleared to play ball.

Ash may have the inside track to become the starter but he does have competition from Sophomore Tyrone Swoopes.

Hopefully Ash can stay healthy and play a vital role in Coach Strong’s tenure as the top man at one of the highest profile programs in the country.
